J.Crew Meets Liberty of London.

Have you heard the news? J. Crew and Liberty of London have teamed up and created one of the most cute, stylish, and cheerful collections that you will ever see. Liberty is a world renowned department store right in the heart of central London. It is known for its colorful floral and paisley prints that adorn everything from scarves to shirts to pillows to shower caps.
When you see the clothing and accessories of this collection its pretty obvious these two companies are a match made in fashion heaven. The preppy chicness of J. Crew and the famous floral prints of Liberty come together and create clothing that is the epitome of a perfect spring wardrobe. So kiss the winter blues goodbye and know that spring will be eternal as long as these cheery outfits are around.
Hello Spring!!

In love with this look!

Fancy Feet.
Blazers, trousers, shorts, and blouses all don the icon florals but it was the accessories of the collection that really caught my attention.  Let’s start with the shoes shall we? You want flats? They’ve got them, lots of them. From typical spring colors such as yellow, pink, turquoise, purple and blue to a more tropical feel with vibrant reds, oranges, and greens. These will be the statement piece of any outfit you decide to wear this spring or summer.  There is also a more subdued looking pair for those with a classic taste. They are blue with tiny little white flowers with a cap toe and will certainly be able to be worn for years to come. Flats are always a warm weather must. They add a chic feel while still being comfortable enough to run around in.
The heels of the collection are perfect for a date night, girls night out, or just whenever you want to feel pretty. Magenta and pink blooms adorn the pointed toe pumps to give them an English garden party feel. And honestly, what girl doesn’t want pink flowered shoes?

Let’s hear it for the boys.
The man in your life can get in on this epic collaboration if he so chooses. Ties and bow ties are adorned in the fun colored prints as well. With ties like these though, its probably best to stick to a basic neutral colored top to avoid looking like a circus performer or crazy long lost uncle (we ALL have one of those).  Then again I have seen a girl or two totally pull off a tie with skinny jeans and a blazer. These ties add a perfect little pop of color to any outfit, no matter who is sporting them.

Everything in between.
Have enough shoes and ties in your closet to last until the end of the world but still want to get in on the flower power? Allow me to introduce you to the belts and scarves. Belt a sun dress and throw on one of these eye catching scarves to complete the sunny-go lucky-look! Xoxo, Audrey Anna

Head Scarves: The Spring Break 2013 Accessory

Happy March! It is officially spring break season and college kids across the country will be flocking to warmer weather, white sandy beaches and one week of living it up in the tropical sun. Are you one of them? Have you started packing? No, me neither. But, there is one thing that you should add to your suitcase before you head off to Mexico, Florida, or California: some head scarves.
I know, its spring and the last thing you want to be thinking about are scarves. But these chic little guys  are not the scratchy wool ones that you have had around your neck since early November. In fact in my opinion these are quintessentially summer.

Whether you are planning on spending your days lounging seaside, poolside, strolling around the resort or heading out at night to some clubs or bars, tying on a scarf will add that little something extra. Fun, bright colored scarves were hugely popular on the runways and with celebrities alike. Not to mention they have that ultra-feminine meets retro vibe that is all the rage this season and would look adorable paired with a swimsuit, coverup, and fun wedges.

There are about a million different ways for you to style your head scarf. Women have been accessorizing with them for decades. The most famous lady? Oh, you know her! Rosie the Riveter. She took the red bandana look to  a whole new level, not to mention inspired about a million Halloween costumes. But in a good way!
The Original.
The 1940s/1950s retro look is a classic that you can always count on. But, the other ways to be beach chic this spring break? Take a note from boho babe Nicole Richie. I have always been obsessed with her sense of style and ways throwing outfits together. Her scarf collection only furthers my fashion infatuation. Whether she's grocery shopping or out to lunch with some friends, she always makes her head scarf look chic, effortless, and oh so ethereal.
Perfect right?

Our Spring Break 2013 muse.

Fun, bright colored scarves could be seen at the Dolce and Gabbana, Max Mara, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Luisa Beccaria shows, just to name a few. Designers showed not only how to wear head scarves at the beach or to a casual lunch but, at night and with gorgeous flowing dresses. I'm telling you, the new "it" accessory has arrived!

The Sunglasses of 2013: Perfect For Your Face Shape

Dolce and Gabbana

I am guilty of only wearing sunglasses during the warmer spring and summer months. Once it hits below 60 degrees outside I don't even think to put them on. I know I'm not alone in this thought process however, doctors are saying that wearing sunglasses even when there are 3 inches of snow on the ground may help prevent against cataracts, macular degeneration, sunburned eyes (uhh...OUCH!), dry eyes and snow and sun blindness. Eyes, after all, are the window to the soul so shouldn't we be doing all we can to protect them? After looking at the 2013 sunglasses trends I found myself not wanting to wear them just as a means of protection, but as an all out fashion statement. You will too.
Dolce and Gabbana
Retro chic at its finest.
Embellished, bold colored and printed specs were among some of the eye wear shown on the runways for spring 2013. But, it didn't stop there. Classic shapes and new abstract ones were seen walking side by side to one another. Unfortunately, all sunglasses are not created equal. No matter how hard I try to pull off a classic pair of aviators, I just can't do it. Hand me a pair of cat eye sunglasses and I will rock those from sun up to sundown...and even into the night. Want to know which of these hot new trends will look best on you? Here is a break down of the styles that work with your face shape.

Eye Heart You:

Girls with a heart shaped face should wear the ever-chic cat eye sunglasses. These are such timeless sunglasses that whether you wear them for this summer, next summer, or the summer when you're 73 you will still look ultra feminine and sophisticated.

Hilary Duff wears a cute pair

The Long and Narrow Gang:

If you have a longer face shape then you are in good company. Wear big, over sized sunglasses much like the ones that Jackie-O made famous. Feel free to play around with color such as a fun red or emerald green.

Still so stylish.
 Oval and Out:

If you are an oval face shape then you are one of the lucky ones. You can pretty much wear any style that you want and it will flatter your face. However, perhaps the best choices would be the classic Ray-Ban sunglasses or aviators. Goose and Maverick would be proud.
Where can I find these? LOVE the tortoise shell!

 Be there or be Square:
Girls with a square-like face should think about wearing more round/circular shaped frames. Luckily for you Ozzie Osbourn glasses were all the rage on the runways. Whether you want to go for more of an over sized look or go quirky with smaller frames both will compliment your pretty face.

Round About:

Girls with round faces should be looking for geometric and more structured frames. Interesting shaped glasses such as pentagon and hexagon shapes have been seen in editorials and on celebrities.
Rihanna, on trend as always.

So remember, sunglasses are not just for the spring/summer months...then again with all of these cute new sunglasses trends why would we even want them to be? Sunglasses all year round? I think yes.

Jewelry of The Great Gatsby courtesy of Tiffany &Co.

I don’t know about you but I am extremely excited about the newest rendition of The Great Gatsby. Granted it doesn’t come out for over two months but a girl can still watch the trailer every now and then…or 3 times a day. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet go check it out! If you have, how ‘bout them costumes? Fashion. Explosion. The movie’s costume designer, Catherine Martin, reportedly collaborated with fashion designer Miuccia Prada to create the gorgeous costumes seen on Carey Mulligan (Daisy Buchanan) and the rest of the ladies in the movie. The one and only Mr. Ralph Lauren costumed the 1974 version starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. Prada Vs. Ralph Lauren? That’s one fashion showdown I don’t plan on missing.

Oh Leo *swoons*

It wasn’t just the gowns that caught my eye, oh no. The few stills that are circulating around the Internet literally made my jaw drop when I saw the jewelry that Carey gets to wear. Tiffany & Co. are behind the art deco inspired necklaces, bracelets, earrings and head pieces. These aren’t your “Return to Tiffany” heart charm either. They are full-fledged works of art complete with dazzling diamonds and glossy pearls, all for our viewing enjoyment.
By far my favorite piece

Spot on 1920's. That bracelet is divine.

Can you imagine what this must weigh?!
In a perfect world we would all be walking around donning sparklers like these lucky ladies. In our world I wouldn't even be allowed to touch them. Are you loving the Jazz Age inspired look as much as I am? They can still be achieved, and at a fraction of the cost.

Let's Have an Arm Party with Alex and Ani

Bangles upon watches upon beads upon woven friendship bracelets upon more bangles. The arm party trend has been going on for some time now and no matter how you rock it, it is still the most fun your wrists have ever had. I’ve seen girls with multi-colored bracelets stacked half-way up there arm while either girls keep it dainty and lady like with delicate tennis bracelets. Me? I’m a sucker for gold bangles.

I recently learned about this company from some friends in Boston called Alex and Ani. They specialize in the coolest little bracelets you will ever have the pleasure of slipping on. They don’t have clasps or anything but have a sliding mechanism that allows it to become totally adjustable to your wrist. You can choose from countless different charms that you want to have on your bracelet and then…you stack ‘em up.
One of my bangles...I match my sissy :)

All stacked up.

I love the look of the bangles on your wrist with the charms hanging off of them. So unique, chic, and little bit hippie. All things I love in this world.
